Tea, Cake and Lunches

As we often end up stopping for a cuppa and a cake, I thought I'd list the ones we like. I won't list the ones we don't like as I see no point. I'll also pop in anywhere we've had a nice meal, and nice pubs.

Guaranteed a nice cuppa, a good, tasty selection of homemade cakes, and I can recommend their baguettes and full English breakfast!

Delicious baguettes and good tea.

I can vouch for the burgers - yummy! The beer is excellent too I believe.

Everything is delicious, from the homemade cake to full meals.

Good cuppa and homemade cakes.
Excellent meals!

Dimbola Lodge, Freshwater Bay
The cakes! Oh my!

The Globe, Cowes
Rooftop terrace overlooking the sailing in the Solent. Pleasant ginger beer too.

The Dairyman's Daughter, Arreton
Excellent food and drink, and quite often live music too.

The Piano Café, Freshwater Bay
Near St Agnes' Church (thatched). Lovely lunches and good coffee. Cakes look good too.

Off The Rails, Yarmouth
Lovely restaurant/ café with a vintage railway theme. Lunch is delicious.

Quarr Abbey Tea Rooms, Binstead
Good selection of tea pigs tea, and lovely cake. Meals are also available, which sound delicious.

Osborne House, East Cowes
Good cuppa and the cakes look nice.

Quay Arts Centre, Newport
Lovely lunches, bar, cake and tea. Also has an ever-changing art gallery and lots of events. Worth a visit.

Dunnose Magna, Luccombe Chine
Lovely thatched B & B on the coastal path, at the end of a steep, potholes, single track lane. Delicious homemade scones and the nicest cream tea I've had in ages. Yum!

Black Sheep Bar, Ryde
Popped in here for lunch and had one of the nicest burgers I've eaten for a while.

Richmond's Bakery, Cowes
Cakes! Hot chocolate! Tea! Yum!
